jaywalking permitted here

Sometimes a break is needed from endless stockinette like that of the Huntington Castle Pullover.  Do you find yourself, late in the night, digging through your patterns and stash and needles looking for an easy project like I do?   I admit it.  I also wanted to unofficially knit from stash so I casted on and finished the Jaywalkers by the fabulous Grumperina:

These are being modeled by my 9yo playing around on her balance beam in our living room:

A bit baggy on her but fits my feet perfectly.  She loves being my sock model:

This is such a great and easy pattern and so very comfortable.  I went up a needle size to US #3 to give it a bit of slouch for wearing around the house and in bed.  And the best part was?  I used the leftover skeins of Koigu I had from when I made my Widdershins. I'm slowly going to try to use my stash but it's oh so hard when there's this:

It's the Petals Collection from Sundara Yarn that I received last month but wanted her permission before I posted pictures of it.  Isn't the packaging beautiful?  I didn't want to open it but of course I did:

This is her lenten rose colorway - absolutely beautiful yarn!  And look what was in the maroon envelope:

A Sundara Yarn original sock pattern.  She even included the ribbon for the back of the socks which was simply gorgeous!  It'll be perfect for next month's start for Project Spectrum.   I'm getting excited  to be knitting more socks and am excited for more of my Petals Collection.   How can you not after seeing her beautiful yarn?

Fabulous socks! The colors are very cool! Tell the model she should go professional! :-)

Those are shiny, happy Jaywalkers! And your new Petals yarn is lovely.

My question is, how do you accomplish so much when you have four children? Really, I need to know.

Very nice jaywalkers - great yarn! And very nice modeling too! Love the petals yarn - really love it. I wish I had signed up for it...

I think I am the ONLY one who has not made Jaywalkers and I love them - Yours are sensational in that bright Koigu!
I am very jealous of your Petals kit...

The Jaywalkers are HOT! And the model is perfect!

I too don't know how you get so much done.....I really think you knit in your sleep.....

Those socks turned out so fun. I love the colors. Tell your daughter that she should become a professional foot model.

Totally jealous of your Petals yarn. So gorgey.

Those Jaywalkers are gorgeous! I have not the pattern yet, I need to do that. I have yarn I bought just for the pattern, just haven't gotten around to it yet...I love yours!

A beam in the living room? Oh, how I would have killed for one. And your socks look great. They are an inspiration to finish mine up. I love the colors.

And I am jealous of your Sundara Petals collection. I love her yarns.

You lucky duck, that sundara yarn looks so yummy and I've been dying to try it.

Love the jaywalkers and the sock package is just beautiful.

Those Jaywalkers haunt me. I will make them. (Next, I'm sure.) Also, the color of that yarn is magnificent.

Thank you so much for your freezer paper suggestion and demystification of the needle turning (over on my blog). I'm gonna give it a try thanks to you!

Four kids! And you still have time for sox. Er, I mean SOCKS. Good grief, girl! All the yarn is lovely.

Great socks, and wonderful photos! A beam in your living room sounds like a lot of fun. :)

Count me in on another knitter who hasn't made Jaywalkers, but looking at your socks makes me want to get some sock yarn. In fact, I did. Love the petals collection. How fun to get such a wonderful package. Enjoy!

Oh....the petals collection. I love the idea of a flower theme with a special pattern. If only I knit socks...

I dream of Sundara's yarn! Maybe I can do a lace shawl one day out of her laceweight. I will be looking forward to seeing these finished socks for Project Spectrum!

Your socks look beautiful! I love the colors too! I must make them!

Those are some of the cutest finished sock pictures I have seen--your daughter is a great model. SUCH cute jaywalkers.

The Jaywalkers are too cute! Love the bright colors!
and the new Petals yarn is delicious! So perfect for PS!

That yarn is so beautiful and the new pattern looks so pretty! Love your jaywalkers! Your model is doing a fabulous job showing them off for the camera!

The jaywalkers are awesome- great colors. I think your daughter may have found her calling :)

Your socks are great, and the Sundara yarn, amazing. I've committed to knitting from my stash, but the more I see Sundara yarn, the more I know it will be the first thing I buy when I end my stash knitting.

oh wow! your jaywalker turned out fabulous Tienne. Love those colorways. You know, I've never get my hands on Sundara but by just looking at your photos. They're pretty enough to make me drool :) enjoy!!

You've got me inspired to do some Jaywalkin' myself! They are just so much fun in the great yarn you chose!

I love your jaywalkers! Great color!

I have GOT to knit the Jaywalkers! Nice pattern - just enough pattern. I love the So-Called Scarf, too. Colors are pretty - nice for your hubby!!

I love those Jaywalkers, I started one, but haven't made much progress, kudos to you, and you have a very talented sock modeler there! I can't wait to see that Sundara pattern knitted up, I love her yarn and patterns.
