I haven't been here in a while because we've been playing. Enjoying the last of ski season and enjoying the beach. I'm grateful to live in a place that we can do both in the same day! Enjoying spring and enjoying being with my family.
It hasn't been all play though. We've moved our offices to a new location and donated a lot of things that we won't need anymore. We've also been painting, cleaning and donating at home too. Clearing out and giving away toys and clothes that the kids have outgrown to make way for an updated play space:
Walls painted, curtain rods and valances hung, movies shelved, couch and rug and pillows added, and toys organized:
Legos, playmobile and train toys stowed under the play tables:
Hallway painted and pictures rehung and feeling like wow! Have the toys ever been put away so neatly?
All this playing has left little time for knitting but I do have some finished projects to show you - just as soon as the rain lets up for me to take some photos. Until then, I hope you all have been at play too!

I'd love to have a room like this!!
And I love the shelves!

All the kids' toys may be put away, but is that your stash peeking out from a couple of corners? :)
I, too, will be glad when the current round of rain/cold is gone. Bring on the real spring!

What a fantastic space for the kids. I wish I had big bookshelves like that, and I can guarantee they would be filled up in no time at all.

What a warm and inviting space. Unfortunately it's been a lot more work than play around here (doing some crazy overtime, though I guess I should be grateful that I have a job!)
Can't wait to see your lovely knitting.

I LOVE the play space. Lucky children! Will it stay that uncluttered? And where, may I ask, do those great play tables come from?

That table set up for your Legos is awesome! What a clever idea. Are those all movies on the bookshelves?!? Good for you for clearing out those old clothes and toys....are you doing flylady.com by any chance? She just had that as a challenge for the kids of the moms following her cleaning routine.

Wait a sec...are those plastic boxes filled with yarn or toys? Maybe I am crazy and seeing yarn everywhere. I really like the video/DVD collection. Mine is paltry beside it, but I'm sure one day it will be just as big. :-)
Posted by: Sue | May 06, 2009 at 03:53 PM
OOh I adore your bookcases.
Posted by: Liza | May 06, 2009 at 03:54 PM

Wow! Please come to my house and do that. Okay? Hey, are those the train play tables that come with the tops that are painted like a landscape? Did you just paint them over in white? Great idea! I'll have to remember that when were done with our table.
