Vacation, fun in the sun, wedding plans for my sister, facebook, reading, scrabble and now twitter, has almost made me forget my blogiversary! Oh my gosh twitter is such a time suck on my iPhone. Do you twitter? If you do, please let me know your twitter name so I can follow you. I don't tweet that much but it's fun to read other people's tweets! Anyways, it's my 3rd blogiversary today and I wanted to give you some gifts for sticking with me through my sporadic blogging this year. I've picked out three fantastic books:

I'm Martha and I'd LOVE Weekend Sewing.
My secret - I told my Mom I mailed off the linen tablerunner from Mason Dixon Knitting Outside the Lines that I made for her for Mother's Day, but I haven't yet. In truth, I haven't finished it yet. I still have to do the weaving.

As for my secret, I bark back at dogs when a dog is barking at me. I also moo at cows, meow at cats, etc....I am a fruitcake.

I'm Alta and Weekend sewing looks fun and my favorite color is purple.
My not-so-secret-secret is that due to my overbite people always think I'm smiling and strangers approach me ALL THE TIME and talk to me. (I live in NYC) Most of the time they ask me if I'm from whatever country they're from and are disappointed when I tell them I'm from Massachusetts ("But, before that... Turkey maybe?" "nope... there's no before that-- just Massachusetts)

Book Choice: "knitting in the Sun" if I won...and seeings in the past 45 days in Mass we have only had 14 days of Sun...it would cheer me up...
Color: Anything is fine with me...I love yarn....
Secret/Secret: I have to plump my family room couch pillows and cushions EVERYTIME I leave the house......crazy huh!

I already have Weekend Sewing (which is awesome, I can't wait to make the smocked dress for my 2 year old!), but I'd love Cookie's book! My favorite colors are reds, oranges, and teals.
Monday through Thursday, I go to the gym in the mornings before work. But sometimes, on really nice days, I hide out in the gazebo behind the gym and read my book for 45 minutes instead of actually going INTO the gym and working out and I still feel accomplished because I "went to the gym." Um. It's possible that I have issues. :)

Secret: I can't instinctively tell right and left apart. Almost every time, I have to look at my hands (your *left* index and thumb make an "L") to verify I'm going to right way.
My favorite color is a deep, deep red, and Cookie's book would be awesome.

My favorite color is green and I'd love weekend sewing. I'm trying to branch out more from just quilting and knitting into (gasp) garment sewing!
As for a secret... though I love all sorts og authentic cuisines, I secretly love melted Velveeta and salsa dip. Hardly authentic cuisine, but I cam hardly stop eating it!

Hi there! I'd be quite happy with any of those books, really! (Maybe not the sock book, but my top pick of those three is the Knitting in the Sun.) I'm on a green kick lately... It's the summer. It makes me like bright cheery colors instead of my usual dark maroon and navy.
Secret: Almost every TV show I watch, I watch for the romantic sub-plots. I'm such a sap!

Hi, my name is Lisa...my favorite color is aubergine/plum, and I really like Knitting in the Sun, because my secret is (don't tell my husband or 3 young sons) that I often lock myself in the bathroom to knit. IT'S QUIET, and for the most part, I can enjoy 20-30 minutes of peace there;)

I'd love the Cookie A book, and I'd knit a pair of green socks as green is my favorite. But not for myself: my secret is that I find handknit socks waaaaay to warm to wear even in the dead of winter.

Hello there! My name's Lisa and I would love the Knitting in the Sun book! My favorite color (this week!) is lime green--it's been calling out to me as of late.
Not-so-secret secret? I have a tiny pin-hole on the roof of my mouth and when I'm cold.....I can whistle out of it! It makes for hours and hours of entertainment for the kiddies!

I would love the sock book. My favorite color is green.
I could listen to ABBA all day and never be tired of their songs. I am so ABBA obsessed! I lived in England as a little girl...that is probably why I am a tad more fanatic than the average American. I can't help but cry everytime I hear their "slipping through my fingers" song (especially now that I have a daughter).

Here's my secret: I swim to the bottom of the pool and blow bubbles. I LOVE bubbles. It's a mini-obsession.
And my favorite colors right now are of the red and purple persuasion, but only in yarn. I love sparkly greens and blues in everything else.
I would scream if I won the Weekend Sewing book. Very loud, like a peacock. Then I would go tell my mom. :)

My not-so-secret secret is that I make costumes based off of the outfits in anime and games, and for that reason Weekend Sewing would be a really useful addition to my library.
My favorite color is green; all shades from lime to hunter. I adopted a kitten with gorgeous green eyes . . . which turned gold soon after. I'm just relieved I didn't name her Sage. Hehe!

My secret: I love to knit socks but I"m jealous of other sock knitters because I have huge (I mean, HUGE) feet and it's not fair that I need tons more yarn! Sometimes I feel bad about my jealousy, but I still can't help it. I check out all sock-knitters' feet and then usually get irritated about their size.
